Text Box: Same rates as 1950.
Text Box: 1.   Matter of any class carrier by air weighing over 8 ounces but not over 70 pounds nor exceeding 100 inches in length and
girth combined.  This service was established September 1, 1948.  The zones are the eight parcel post zones.

rate on such matter be less than 3 cents an ounce or fraction thereof.  Air parcels weighing more than 8 ounces but less
than 10 pounds and exceeding 84 inches in length and girth combined require 10-pound rate.
Air parcels weighing more than 8 ounces required rate of 80 cents a pound or fraction thereof when transported by air:

      (b) between or within territories and possessions of the United States  where eighth zone is applicable;  (c) between
continental United States or its territories and possessions and overseas APO's, Fleet Post Offices, and naval vessels

3.   Exceptions:  Air parcels weighing less than 10 pounds and  exceeding 84 inches in length and girth combined require
